japannode is an educational technology holding company focused on improving the educational sector in Japan through the use of IoT and blended learning technologies.
A node is a basic unit used in technology. Nodes are devices or data points on a larger network. Devices such as a personal computer, cell phone, or printer are nodes.
In the science of plant biology, a plant's stem consists of nodes and internodes. A plant stem's nodes are those critical areas from which leaves, branches, and aerial roots grow out from the stem, while the internodes are those intervals between the nodes.
japannode sees itself as both a living node, similar to a plant, and and network node to meet its vision. This will be illustrated via it’s logo. This will be called the ’node system’ since each node interacts with each other.
The center red node represents both Japan and japannode. It is connected to the upper-right node which represents education. The internode connecting the two is IoT which provides the monitoring.
The three non-connected nodes represent the businesses of japannode (English learning center, STEM learning center, and IT development (machine learning and IoT development).
The four connected nodes each represent each of four social foundation shortfalls in Japan including gender equality, social equity, education, and income & work based on the ‘Doughnut Model of Economics’ and the 'United Nations Sustainable Development Goals'. The connected lines again represent IoT (for monitoring).
japannode’s development as a holding company will follow this illustrated node model.
